The ECO2 fractional skin resurfacing laser is an FDA approved device and uses a laser beam to treat selected areas of the skin. The laser has the capability to deliver a mild weekend "micropeel" to a deeper treatment that will help stimulate collagen and give you the radiant look of youth. Additionally, patients with acne scars or "picks" will see immediate results as the laser delivers the treatment to the dermis, where the scars are visable. Patients will see continued results for up to 6 months while deeper in the layers of skin you will begin to regenerate collagen.

Depending on the aggressiveness of the procedure, one may require one day to approximately one week of recovery. The post healing process is more visually unappealing than it is painful. Typically, immediately post treatment, it feels like an intense sunburn for a few hours. As this subsides you will have some redness and swelling. Your skin may turn to a bronze stage followed by "flaking" of the skin.
New, clear, radiant skin is now visible. Acne scarring will be reduced. Patience is now needed. The collagen building process to reduce wrinkles is not instantaneous. Improvements to your skin will continue over a 60 day to 6 month process. Your body needs time to build up the collagen level in your skin.
