Susan is a registered nurse, as well as a licensed esthetician and esthetician instructor.    She earned her nursing degree from UNCW in 1977 and worked in an intensive care nursery with critically ill newborn infants before "retiring" in 1982 to raise a family.  She returned to nursing in 2000 and her interest in the skin's health and esthetics led her to Cape Fear Community College where she received her training in esthetics from 2003 to 2004.  Susan worked at Glo MedSpa upon it's inital opening in 2005.

While there, she received advanced training and certification as well as practical experience in the administration of Botox® and dermal fillers such as Restylane®, Perlane® and Juvéderm®.  She also earned certification, extensive training, and experience in the use of the Quantum IPL for photorejuvenation of the skin as well as the Lumenis Lightsheer laser for hair removal.

Since 2005,  Susan has pursued additional educational opportunities and is currently teaching esthetics at Cape Fear Community College.
